It is my pleasure to welcome you to Vijaya Krishna College of Physiotherapy, the newest addition to the Vijaya Krishna healthcare and education group.
The decision to establish a physiotherapy college reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for students who aspire to pursue a professional career in healthcare. Physiotherapy is a dynamic and evolving field, and effective education requires a balanced combination of academic understanding, practical learning, clinical exposure and professional development.
Our focus is to provide students with an environment that encourages active learning and meaningful participation. We want students to develop a clear understanding of physiotherapy concepts while progressively building the practical skills and professional qualities needed in their future careers.
We recognise that every student brings individual strengths, interests and aspirations. Therefore, we aim to encourage a learning culture where students can interact, ask questions, develop their abilities and gain confidence through academic and practical experiences.
Alongside professional knowledge, we place importance on communication, teamwork, discipline, ethical conduct and compassion. These qualities are essential for healthcare professionals who work closely with patients, families and other members of the healthcare team.
As the college begins its journey in 2026, our responsibility is to establish a strong foundation and continuously work towards improving the educational experience of our students. We look forward to creating an institution that encourages learning, professional growth and a commitment to responsible healthcare service.
I invite aspiring physiotherapy students to explore the opportunities available through our Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme and take the first step towards their professional journey with us.
With best wishes for your academic journey,
Dr Vijayalakshmi
